Carina Leagues CJ’s Swim Club

Hi all, well some great swims in the real 1st hit out of the new season. Most of the seniors had a swim at Chandler pool and we saw some pretty good swims.

The highlights were: Jack Collins placed 1st in the backstroke qualifying for nationals in the 100 Backstroke.

Melanie Gock qualified in the 100 Breaststroke for nationals.

Jaye Malony-Busch swam a great PB for 100 freestyle in 1.02.

Lara Wingreen swam a PB in the 200 IM

Some PB’s in the 100 Freestyle for Tahlia Seeto – 1.05

Sam Firrell – 1.04

Next weekend we have the 5km open state champs and we have Michele Lim competing. We would like to wish her all the best.

The Junior swim camp was a great success. We had 36 kids form the local area come along and learn about all the strokes. we also went through starts and turns with the kids. A Lot of fun with the mats as the kids tried to walk on water – Thanks to Ron and Katherine Hardcastle for their help on the day.
